It's still on and still way too tight (and I swear getting tighter), but she's managed to lose the bottom half of her nametag tube. It's a little metal tube that you put your name and phone number in, screw it closed, and attach it to the collar. Xena doesn't have a problem keeping hers on, but Abby's now lost the bottom half of hers that had the paper in it. I have no way to reunite the two halves, so now she's doomed to wearing half the tube. She still has the ugly yellow plastic tag with her microchip number on it and that just duplicates the info. in the tube, so she's still tagged.
She's still scratching at the collar, but she'll get used to it eventually. It will just take her longer because it's so tight and she's never worn one before.
The "tube tag" mine wear is similar to this, though this one is two tone and mine are just plain gold-colored metal.
