Ok, measurements and body fat test results, as promised.
Measurements (in inches):
Chest (above breasts): 33.3
Body fat percent: 27%
Fat mass: 36.45 lbs.
Lean mass: 99.3 lbs.
Since starting to diet (in 2004) I have lost a foot off my hips! Yep - 12 inches! At my first measure my hips were 48 1/2 inches. My body fat that first day was 37.8. :)
I plan to have another evaluation done when I stop NutriSystem so I can see how I've done on the program.
The trainer who did the measurements said I looked good, and told me to train more often (most weeks I only make it twice). He was impressed by the "cut" that can be seen in my biceps. :)
More NutriSystem food reviews:
Beef Tacos dinner - Good stuff! You get three small tortillas (I got four in my first box, though), and the sauce is a dried mix you add water too. I can't believe something so decadent is so low in carbs and high in protein. This is a winner that I will be buying again.
Microwavable Chocolate Cake dessert - Like the Apple Cake it's not overly sweet, but this is a good thing. No need to feed the sweets demon in me. Lots of protein in this treat, so that's good. It doesn't cook right to a "cakey" consistency. I've heard others have similar problems with this product. It's a "soy sponge," but it is chocolate, so I'll get it again.
Balsamic Vinaigrette with Turkey Breast Meat lunch - Not good at all. You are suppossed to put it over a salad, but the Balsamic Vinaigrette is more like gravy than dressing. I'm not picky so I'm okay with it, but it is not a good entree in terms of taste. I won't buy it again.
Chicken Ala King with Noodles lunch - Kind of bland, but otherwise good.
I finally got all my water drunk yesterday. In part because I made myself drink my 1.5 liter bottle of plain water before I could have my soda, and in part because things are cooling down finally on the NutriSystem board.
