Went to the gym this morning. The Diet Rock Star totally kicked my ass and gave me energy.
I did lower body weight training today for 1 hour. I forgot my watch so I couldn't do many exercises that required holds. Bleh. I did three sets of walking squats on the ramp, the last two sets holding 2.5 lb. weights in each hand.
For cardio I ran on the treadmill and made one of my goals! I just felt better and had more energy than yesterday, probably because I didn't have to get up so early. I ran 3 miles in 30 minutes!!! I started at 5.5 mph, and got as high as 6.6 mph. Overall it averaged to 6.0 mph - a 10 minute mile! I am pleased as punch.
After the gym I had my protein/carb snack on the train and planned to walk to work. I had to buy a bunch of groceries on the way and almost decided to take the bus partway, but managed to arrange my groceries well enough that I was able to walk the whole way.
I have a cool link to share. It compares your weight with other people of your gender, age, and height.
I'm ready. Compare me!
I'm at 17th percentile, so 83% of people my age (37) and height (5'7") weigh more than me.
At my high weight of 206 when I started losing weight at about age 33 I was in the 81st percentile which means that at that age and height, my weight was greater than 81% of others. Frightening.

Yo girl. Keep it up and you'll be faster than me on that thing(treadmill). Wait, I'm 48, you probably are stronger and faster.
Hmmm, better get much better at listening and speaking the truth in love. I Corinthians 13, 14 and Galatians 5, 6 are goals I pray to achieve! More worthy goals I know not.
Victoria is a good example of how far I am from the mark. Better than I, as I am aware, there are many others at work who are, I know. Painfully aware of my shortcomings.
Just keep praying for me, God's grace helps when you fail as much as I do. Boy, I do fail a lot as I've been reminded by many.
Believers, remember Romans Chapter 8. Stand up and keep going. Failings are so you will depend on God, instead of your own works or ways. Learning that, in very hard and effective chastening. I try and keep that in focus as I look at myself in the mirror, an as others illustrate graphically my failings. Hurt as it does, it is mine to bear as I have learned. Look up, His rod is not forever, even if you think it'll never end. He wounds an then He binds up. I know. God is merciful and forgiving. Yet, His tolerance for continued straying after informing you of the right way, can be a clue-by-4. He will use the closer ones and those who have something against you to bring you down hard. Humility is key, again humility is the key!!!!! Submit yourself under the mighty hand of God and He will lift you up! In due time. Key here, in due time. In other words, when you have learned humility, exhibit it selflessly and share his mercy and kindness with all in every situation. Mercy Lord, Mercy. Peace and mercy to you all. Bowed, but not broken, and, hopefully will be strengthened more by grace and repentance. Oh Lord, let it be. Thanks Victoria, for being a light in my darkness. You tolerate me well. Mostly. =-)
