Well, I lost the 2.8 I gained last week, but no more. :( At least I did see a new low on the scale Friday morning. That's promising.

Well, it was a long weekend. Friday Brad had to work late. I decided to get some walking in, so I went to my gym and walked on the treadmill for an hour at 3.5 mph. I covered 3.5 miles. Then I was bored so I went down and walked the lake. I started and ended at the gym so it took a little over an hour. The lake is about 3 miles.

After Brad got off work he picked me up at MacArthur BART and we went to look at an apartment, but the guy who was supposed to show it never showed up. After almost 45 minutes we left. The neighborhood was really bad anyway and the buses may not have run late enough for me.

Saturday after church we hung out at Pastor Steve's house for a while before going to Leona's for a special dinner in honor of Passover. While we waited for the time to pass Pastor Brent suggested a walk out to Point Pinole for anyone who wanted to go. A bunch of people went. From where we parked it was a little over 3 miles, so I got some good steps in and burned some calories. :)

I talked to Helena (one of the owners) by phone on Saturday. I had left her a message saying I would be moving and she called me back. She offered to lower the rent increase a pittance, but I told her I couldn't afford any raise; I simply don't make enough. She said she couldn't do it, but would talk with her husband. I don't expect to hear back. I wrote an official "I'm leaving" letter, but will hold onto it for now in the hopes that they will call back. I still have plenty of time for the required 30 days notice.

One thing I don't want to forget to mention - Saturday was my spiritual birthday. :) I'm 12 now. :)

The dinner at Leona's was not a Passover dinner per se, but did have a few of the traditional Passover items such as unleavened bread and some kind of sweet apple and honey thing to put on the bread. Also applesauce. I had one piece of bread and a few bites of bread with the apple/honey thing on it.

For dinner there was almost nothing I could eat, so I brought my own - chicken breast chunks and green beans with fat free mayo. Of their food I had a very little beef roast (it was swimming in fat), and lots of salad and veggies (green beans!). I had a very little dessert (a few bites), and munched on my South Beach meal bar for my dessert.

I hate HATE HATE church dinners - all these people around me eating fat and carbs to their heart's content and I have to bring my own food so I can eat healthy. And I get stared at for bringing my own dinner. The dinners often run late; the food was finished about 9 and then everyone sits around chatting. That's when I told Brad we had to go. It robs me of my weekend. I told Brad that next time they had a dinner he could go, but I wanted to stay at home. I really truly HATE the damn things!

Anyway, there went my whole weekend right there. Brad ended up staying the night, crashing out on my floor. I have a yoga mat and sleeping bag. I made him coffee this morning and then we were off to look at another apartment. This one is a ways from the buses and so terribly small. But it is in a nice neighborhood. They seem to be having trouble filling it. We took information and an application.

Then Brad dropped me off at the gym. He went back to my apartment to use the bathroom and then came back and wandered around the neighborhood. I came back to the car after my workout and we arrived at almost the same time.

My workout was pretty standard. One hour of upper body weight training - arms, shoulders, and back, plus calves. Then I ran on the treadmill - 31 minutes and just over 3 miles.

Brad drove toward work, but I asked to be let off a ways off so I could get some more exercise walking. It took me just over 40 minutes to walk in. I stopped at WalMart briefly to price knee braces. My right knee has been bothering me. Getting new shoes seemed to help at first, but now the discomfort is back. I don't want to injure myself nor give up my running, so I'm going to get a brace.

Money-wise, Dad's check came so that will help. Also, Pastor Steve gave Brad $25 for gas, and Brad gave me $20 of it. So I should be okay for now. Not rich, but I'll survive until the next payday and be able to buy food. :) Thank you, God! The money from the property may be in my P.O. box when I check on Tuesday. We'll see. It will be a big help whenever it gets here.

I know I wrote a book. It has been a busy weekend and now it is my Monday and I am back at work!

This is certainly none of my business, but since you and Brad get along so well and keep everything platonic, have you considered the two of you becoming roommates? Just a thought.
