Today is Beltane. Blah. I am trying to forget. It was one of my favorite holidays when I was Wiccan. On the plus side, it's also the National Day of Prayer, so that's good. I participated in the Presidential Prayer Team's online prayer rally by praying late last night. I signed up to pray sometime between 1 and 2 a.m. That's the best slot for me because of my work schedule.

Today I priced boxes and truck rentals. U-Haul is by far the cheapest both for the truck and the boxes. $20-$30 for the truck, depending on size, plus 99 cents per mile. 20 medium boxes will run me $41.40 plus tax. They do take Discover, my new emergency credit card, so that is an option if needed. I'll just pay the minimum on my computer until things settle down. I haven't given my 30 days notice yet, but will when I get the boxes and start packing in earnest. Since it's already May 1, we are looking at a projected date of July 1. This will mean one month of paying the new higher rate.

I called Teen Challenge again and actually got through to Wayne. He said the only day they can do moves is Mondays and Tuesdays. Since Jon will need to provide coverage at work for both Brad and I (and Lisa can do overtime), and Jon doesn't work on Mondays, Tuesday it will have to be. Tuesday just happens to be July 1, so hopefully that will work out. Teen Challenge charges $10 an hour per person.

After I called Teen Challenge I looked at apartments for rent on Craig's List and have my first appointment to see one tomorrow and one on Sunday. This means no walking with Brad tomorrow and no gym on Sunday (or a very abbreviated workout).

Abby is adjusting to the cage. I actually got her inside it last night. Her hunger finally overcame her fear. I also drained a can of the chunked chicken breast I got from Costco and gave the chicken water to them (in the cage) and they loved it. She's skittish, but I have two months to get her adjusted.

My only exercise today was walking from the train station to work.

I'll update you all Sunday night! I covet your prayers on my money and moving concerns and that I will find the place that God wants me to be.

Have I mentioned that I also need to see the doctor, get my prescriptions refilled, and get a complete exam and cleaning at the dentist?

As for the dentist, look for new patient specials in your area, many offer complete exam with cleaning for about $40.00 (make certain to ask that cleaning is included).

Oh, thanks. :) I do have a dentist, but for all the work I need I have to buy their insurance plan, which is just more money out the door, but the discount with the insurance is something I really need.

Have you talked to Lupe on this Victoria? She might be of some help.

Oh, sorry, hi Charles. You pointed Victoria to Christ if you are "that" Charles. =-D!! What a joy to say hello to you. May the Lord bless and keep you strong in His salvation.

You are certainly in my prayers. I know what a big deal moving is. And bless you for being so attentive to the needs of your cats.

I don't think he is "that" Charles, Brad. "That" Charles doesn't read my blog and wouldn't talk about the cost of dentists since he is in Canada where they have universal healthcare.
