Second weekend

ellipticalI did only so-so yesterday. Calories were okay at about 1772, but carbs were 75 (high for me), and fat was only 57 (WAY too low). Calories burned: only 1756 (less than I ate!) because I did so much sleeping. I went to bed early and slept about 12+ hours. I have no clue why I was so wiped out and devoid of energy yesterday.

I was a good girl yesterday and had just a protein shake for lunch, so I was pretty much able to count. I did swipe a few peanuts (I counted half an ounce) and a few Cheese-It's (didn't count). Those two foods on the snack table at church are the hardest part of the whole weekend for me.

There's a HUGE package of HUGE cookies sitting here at work about 10-15 feet away from me. At times like this I am so glad I am low-carbing. The cookies hardly bother me at all. I don't invite temptation so I did take a couple paper towels and covered the see-through plastic container, but I can still see some of it. Nevertheless, I won't eat them, and low-carb keeps me in control of my cravings. :) I love this way of eating!

I was 144.4 this morning so I didn't gain anything over the weekend. Yay! And I should be able to make it to the gym four times this week. Yippee!

Went to the gym this morning. Did 30 minutes of arm and core strength work, then 30 minutes on the crossramp elliptical, and then, because my trainer said to cut back on my cardio, I just walked on the treadmill at 3.5 mph (a comfy pace for me) for 20 minutes. FitDay says 263 calories burned. Since I am able to go to the gym tomorrow, I will work mostly on strength training for my legs tomorrow.

Counting the gym I was able to rack up 10,000 steps by the time I arrived at work. Yippee for that. The crossramp alone is good for over 3,000. Now begins my shift where I'm sitting all day. :) The workout made me tired so I stopped at Starbucks and got a small black coffee. Now I'm sipping green tea.

I looked at my FitDay stats for calories eaten vs. burned, and consistently since I've been tracking my sleep on there (which lowers your calories burned), I'm burning more than I've eaten. This even accounts for my 2800 calorie day (journaled as 3000) last Thursday. So pretty good on that front. Now if the weight would just follow. Or at least have my body fat drop. I could deal with no weight loss as long as I lost body fat. :-p Unfortunately, nothing is happening.

I know how you feel about feeling wiped out! I was feeling like this a couple of weeks ago when I started really trying to shift my weight. I am using Hoodia Pills which I find really keep away the hunger pangs.

Keep up the good work!!
