Study: Praying Won't Affect Heart Patients
NEW YORK - Does praying for a sick person's recovery do any good? In the largest scientific test of its kind, heart surgery patients showed no benefit when strangers prayed for their recovery.
Experts called it the largest and best-designed study ever to test the medical effects of intercessory prayers — praying on behalf of someone else. That's different from studying the effect of a person's prayers and spiritual practices on his or her own health; many studies of that have shown a positive effect.

Prayer studies of this type have a fatal flaw. The ones prayed for were those that He decided would not receive the help they were praying for. He said no or gave an answer which din't fit their criteria for being answered. So, He showed His will and they say prayer was not effective. He didn't give them a sign with the prayer being answered as they were looking for. They have fallen into the trap they have set. Trying to prove God's existence they set up one where they say it is as they think, prayer doesn't work.
How many of us pray like that??? Are we presupposing that God loves us sooooo much He will give us our way because it is His way in our minds.
The thing that is missing is Belief and Faith in the God of the Bible, Jesus of Nazareth. If you are not given eyes to see the answer you will not find the Lord of Truth. So by the faithless nature of the test it was doomed to come to a worldly conclusion apart from Christ.
But God is not mocked what you sow you reap. You sow in Faith you will receive in Faith. IF you sow in unbelief you will reap in unbelief.
Sow in belief and you will reap an answer which will give testimony of the fact that there is a God who rules.
One which is represented like a parent.
We prayed to our parents ( a figure of speech indicating what children do to get from their parents. We ask constantly ) As we get older the nature and purpose of our questions and requests change. Soon we grew and wised up and started getting what we requested. Is is because our parents changed or was it we who matured and understood how to ask correctly and for the right things. Go figure! The same with God. If we ask anything as His child in Faith in accord with His will we get it.
Don't believe me, read the Bible.
This weekend, I visited my family, including a cousin of mine who had recently been released from prison. I remember when I was told some time ago that he was going to court, and there was a possibility that he would end up in prison, I prayed for him, but refused to pray that he would be acquitted. Instead, I prayed that God would allow the outcome that would be the best for improving his life. Now that I have seen him out of prison, I am convinced that that prayer was answered. He told me that all the time he was in prison, he was surrounded by meth addicts and guys that were using their time in prison to essentially network with other criminals to plan their next crime. "What's wrong with these guys? I don't want to be like that!" He seems to me to be more responsible and all-around together now than he's ever been. That's answered prayer.
Amen. You asked rightly in Accord and the result was...You prayed in Faith. You could have asked anything in that accord and it will be as you ask. Point being is that you must be with Christ in the point. For the Christian all prayers are answered yes. It is becasue we have our eyes opened to see as He sees. We have wisdom and understanding.
